Brief

Taylor and Francis Group, one of the established publishers for journals and books is looking to build a platform for their sales representatives. The main objective of the platform is to make the process of finding relevant content more efficient and provide online support to begin with. Moving forward the platform will evolve with more capabilities like managing customer profiles, personalising product collections for potential customers, suggest product recommendations based on customer’s profile and feature authors and products.

Taylor and Francis’s sales representatives play a key role in moving the products to the market. The various sales channels for book sales include Libraries, Book trade, Online and wholesalers. The most important part of the sales process involves selecting the books that a customer will be interested in and showcasing them during the sales call. This is currently done on the printed catalog received by the representative. Our objective is to identify the best way in which technology can enhance their selling experience.
